Last week the innRoad team attended the annual HITEC conference in Austin, Texas. To say it was a blast would be an understatement.
As we walked the floor and spoke with attendees, there were three key trends we noticed.
1. Integration: There’s a shift from premise, single solution systems towards fully-integrated, cloud property management systems. Hoteliers are done with managing multiple systems and are looking for an all-in-one solution. Costly commissions and connectivity issues seem to be the main motivation for the move away.
2. Data Security: Due to all the recent hacks and data breaches, hoteliers are more interested in data security than ever before. With tons of new third party companies offering “data security,” we have to wonder-why not just use a secure cloud-based solution?
3. Guest Experience: The HITEC show was full of hotels wanting to enhance the guest experience and vendors wanting to assist in those efforts. Whether it be housekeeping technology or automatic emails, hoteliers want to do everything in their power to ensure a great guest experience from the moment of booking to departure.
It was a great show to say the least! We got to meet new hoteliers, see new technology trends, and catch up with clients.
